Mind-numbing
I feel a little numb tonight. Well A LOT numb. HOLY COW! How many of you watch Game of Thrones??? There really isn't much that I like to watch on TV besides HG TV(go figure!) but my hubs and father both read this series and I got hooked on the HBO series as soon as I was introduced to the first episode. It's jam-packed with action and drama and unfortunately has the most shock factor of any story I have heard about. Tonight I cried. I'm still sad, sniff sniff. Seriously since I haven't read the books I don't know what good could possibly come out of the story and man does it know how to tick me off. I think all of my favorite characters are going to get killed off. Still it's so intriguing with all of the stories going on at once. I have no idea how the Season Finale will turn out but this unsettling numbness sucks tonight. So sad. Just had to share my opinion of the show. Man!

Happy Fourth!
I've got lots of projects around the house staring me in the face. I went to the beach last weekend with girlfriends and wouldn't you know I got sick again. Boo hoo. :- ( Not sure what is up with this whole getting sick thing but on antibiotics again fighting it. As soon as I get my energy back I'm going to show you how I've made the front door a little more welcoming! Hope you have a great fourth today!

Bogged With Blogging? No Just Been Busy Trying NOT To Be!!
I am wiped out! I try not to write unless I am cheerful and energetic but I am just plain pooped. My son had a small procedure this morning and got tubes in his ears. It was a simple surgery but it wore mama out.
So thinking about blogging, I realize I haven't done a tutorial type of post in a while but I am taking a little time to relax. Sure! That is what I keep telling myself anyhow. I seriously do not know how to relax. GRR! It's sad that I have to force myself to sit still and do NOTHING but I am just not wired that way. My mind continues to churn and come up with ideas for all kinds of things. It won't stop pondering and wondering! I really need to learn to relax with no guilt. I'm working on it! Any suggestions?

Oh I have been doing more bloggy behind the scenes stuff lately too. I'm dying to learn how to do things to my blog to make it more fun for YOU to read. If you haven't already found me, I am on Facebook and Twitter. Feel free to follow me there if you want. I am still trying to figure things out and am playing around with Twitter somewhat. Please hang tight if you will, bare with me. I have lots to share with you this year. I'll be doing more crafty projects but I want to show you some of our rooms and how they have evolved.
I'm hitting the hay but just wanted to say a quick "hey"! Hope you have a great weekend. TTYL (talk to you later)!

Back From The Beach
Hello fellow crafters! I'm home from being at the beach for nearly a week with my family and I have a case of the crafties! The trip was great but I'll be getting the craft ON very soon! I think I'm having withdrawals! Haha! The vacay was excellent, heck ANY time at the BEACH is AWESOME. Now that I'm settled in, I'm ready to get the projects started up and completed!
Don't you just love the BEACH? Palm trees, sand, fresh salty air, the sound of the ocean... NATURE! I love it! The atmosphere is so much more peaceful at the beach. I'll give you a little peep at what I saw on my stroll to the beach each day! I was trying to envision what type of house I would want if I ever had the opportunity to move to the water! Hmmm!
Here are two cottages with more modern features.
I don't think I saw two cottages that looked the same. I love that about the beach. The houses all look different and all paint colors are acceptable!
The shutters were more like panels in between the doorways but I think they were quite stylish!
Another fun thing I like to do at the beach is to check out the signs or names on the houses. I've been trying to come up with one too for the future! Wishful thinking but you never know! Some are really clever and I just think it adds great humor and creativity to these vacation homes. Some names tell a story about the owners. I couldn't capture all the clever signs I saw(I didn't want to look like a stalker!) but here are a few that I thought were cute for different reasons.

Hmmmmm! Indecisiveness and Randomness
Hello! How are you? Hope everyone had a great weekend! We had family in town so I was busy entertaining. It was a good time though.
Okay so first off I'm a little paranoid about writing now. At work last week we had a lesson on sharpening writing skills as a practice run for someone who is giving a presentation to a sales team to help with their writing skills. It took me back to about the 5th grade but it was very helpful. It was a great refresher and reminded me of all the things I do wrong writing. Now I want to put the lesson to use and write better and be more to the point. I find myself being too wordy when I get excited so just ignore me if I do that!
I am super excited to share a next project with you that I'm working on tonight while cleaning the downstairs. It's an easy project that the whole family will enjoy! I'll share it in my next post because I am still not quite finished. Can't wait!
In the meantime I am trying to decide what to do with some of this fabric.
I have some ideas of new projects and I am playing with the fabric, moving it around the house trying to decide what to do with it. Part of my problem with any project is making decisions. Are you good at making decisions and following through? I will postpone something just so that I have no regrets. I want to make sure I am ready to proceed with a project therefore I question myself over patterns and designs for a while until I am ready to move on with it. I have several ideas for some of these fabrics I've just got to make up my mind but we'll see. Please stay tuned. I'll be posting as soon as I make some decisions and get to work! Can't wait! Until then...

Garage Project Teaser!
Hope everybody is doing well! Thank goodness it's the weekend! The weather is supposed to be nice so it's time to finish up the big garage makeover. What didn't seem like was going to be a crazy project turned into more of an ordeal than expected. I am soooooo ready to get things back in order and share the after shots! All that is left to do is clean up, organize and final touches so we can get those cars back in it.
Speaking of cars, a guardian angel must have been watching over us yesterday. I had my car parked in the driveway, which is a slight incline from the street. Once I stepped in the house with the kids I noticed my car out in the street and in my neighbors yard. My emergency brake was on and the car was in first gear with the steering wheel straight. Anyhow the car somehow made a zigzag and missed our mailbox and the neighbor's mailbox across the street. Luckily no one was hurt and no damage was done. WHEW!
So my computer is in the shop yet again and I also need to troubleshoot problems with my camera. I hope to have everything back up next week so I can share the final pictures of the garage! Have a lovely weekend and talk soon!

Hope To Make It Happen In 2011!
I am PSYCHED to be participating in the Nesting Place 2011 Home Goals party! I love seeing what everybody's goals are! It is such a good feeling to slash through things on the to do list and I have a loooong list for the new year! Not sure how much of it I'll accomplish but here's my run-down and here's hoping!
SIMPLIFY! DE-CLUTTER! ORGANIZE!
- De-clutter and clean up kitchen junk drawers, cabinets and pantry.
- Reorganize bathroom cabinets, coat closet, linen closet, laundry room.
- Do something with the mantle so I am at peace with it! I keep changing it around and it drives me nuts!
- Brighten up the living room with more color.
- Find an inexpensive curtain rod solution for the bay window in the dining room. I already have curtains to hang and can't wait to get them up! Without the Christmas tree there, it looks so bare.
- Organize the playroom, spruce it up and add something to dress up the windows! It has been on the back burner because I was waiting to see if we were going to have a boy or girl with the second baby. Uh, now that our baby boy is nine months old I think I can do a BOY theme if I decide to! Tee Hee!
- Hang something on the wall over master bedroom bed FINALLY. We've been in the house for nearly five years so it's about time!
- Refinish a piece of furniture that has seen better days! Years ago, I accidentally set a warm, scented electric plug-in on top of the wooden stand and it melted to it and ruined the finish. Arrgghh!
- Maybe add something over the kitchen cabinets to dress the room up. Oh and find a storage solution for the pots and pans I got for Christmas!
- Mud and paint the garage and get all the STUFF up off the garage floor so the cars fit better.
- Possibly attempt crown molding. Dying to put it in the den but maybe I can test it in the laundry room for starters!
- Decoupage something!
- Oh I am also itching to learn to sew on a sewing machine but that just may have to wait!
